“The gift of the Holy
Ghost adapts itself to all these organs or attributes. It quickens all the
intellectual faculties, increases, enlarges, expands and purifies all the
natural passions and affections; and adapts them, by the gift of wisdom, to
their lawful use. It inspires, develops, cultivates and matures all the
fine-toned sympathies, joys, tastes, kindred feelings and affections of our
nature. It inspires virtue, kindness, goodness, tenderness, gentleness and
charity. It develops beauty of person, form and features. It tends to health,
vigor, animation and social feeling. It invigorates all the faculties of the
physical and intellectual man. It strengthens, and gives tone to the nerves.
In short, it is, as it were, marrow to the bone, joy to the heart, light to
the eyes, music to the ears, and life to the whole being

Describe how the Holy Ghost
helped the Apostles fulfill their missions after the Savior’s death and
resurrection.
The Apostles needed the comforter to reassure them after his
death. They had not known these things
before Christ and now they were instructed to teach and share the gospel now
that he was gone. The Holy Ghost touched
their lives, guided their knowledge and taught truth by spirit.
Write a paragraph about a time
when the Holy Ghost blessed you in one of the ways you listed above. Give an
example of how the Holy Ghost has inspired you.
Many times in my calling I have felt the promptings of the spirit
guide me to help sisters in the relief society that were struggling or had
questions. The Holy Ghost prompts us
when we least expect it and in and for the people we expect it the least for.
I was preparing a lesson for a relief society activity and felt
more than once the topic was suppose to be something else. I tried to ignore it and go with what was
planned but the overwhelming feeling to change kept coming to me. I decided to change at the last minute and am
grateful I did. Several sisters
mentioned how much they needed that lesson and were very thankful for the
answers that they received.
