It is getting closer

Ok this is the last one tonight. Steph wanted to take some pictures of her tummy before Tieran arrives. So we had our cousin Jeremy take some pictures. His company is called Lowry Photography. He is really good. No I am not pregnant! It is big though.

from January Marco Bday

This is old but I couldn't not share with everyone. My wife is the best thing in the world. She is so good to me. This is the cake she had made for my Bday. I know my Bday was in January but I had to share since I figured out how to do this. She suprised me with a party of friends and family.

This cake was done by the same person that did our wedding cake. She is awesome. Dang I forgot her website. I will have Steph add it later.

Old

Steph is a good sport. Growing up in the city and then meeting me Mr. Outside she is willing to do anything. This is us on a day shooting.

4th of July

Welcome to Delta Colorado. Not much there but a few land marks. The UTE council Tree is a historical landmark.

Yes I admit while my Uncle was laying in bed and in Pain I went to see what there was around. My other uncle the Bishop "Matt" took us to see the Black Canyons National Park. Yup the same place Ric was trying to see from a motorcycle. He might ever see it now. The only place he knows in Delta is the where the hospital is. That might be a stretch cause he could barely remember anything with all his drugs.

Colorado has lots of mesas and ugly looking country. Looks will fool you though. Because if you drive to those mesas the revine bottoms are filled with water and trees. It is absolutely stunning. Like the Black Canyons. You drive a few miles into the hills and all of a sudden this 50 some odd mile 2,000 foot deep canyon pops out of thin air. It is breath taking.

We also had the good company of another uncle that was coming down to visit his sister before all this happened. The place turned into a party. It was so cool. Terri and Matt have really found a paradise that is a calm quiet place to be. Not so far that they are forgotten but far enough that if they want they can forget.

June 29 2009

Over the 4th of July my uncle decided to take a trip with some buddies
from his ward. No he doesn't have a Harley. I have never EVER seen him ride a bike in my life. We were concerned and tried hard to make him change his mind. But he insisted he would be fine. So the famous statement was "I have been riding bikes since before you were born." With a statement like that what could I say. He was going. Of course the same day he brought the bike over for his wife to see and while getting back on he burn a 3 inch burn on the inside of his knee. If that wasn't a sign then I don't know what to tell you. Anyway I am dragging this on but I am sure you can guess what comes next. Yes, yes he did. He was going through (or just getting to) the Black Canyon National park outside of Montrose Colorado. Could you guess anything different? Of course he wrecked! Or as his wife would say "Been there Ric'd that." Now there are differing stories but we will go with his because he is the one that suffered most. He was going through a corner and hit a rock and lost control. The bike started tail fishing on him and layed it down. As you can see in the picture the bike is fine. The seat was scratched, the saddle bags, the roll bars and the horn was bent, but not much more than that. I tease him and tell him he got scared and jumped. So the barrowed bike is ok and will survive. Ric on the other hand took some heavy bumps and lumps. His left left leg was a compsite fracture. Yes the bone was coming out.
He was lucky though cause it only strecthed his ligaments, vessels, and muscle. The break was clean with no other breaks or fractures so it fit together like a glove that was meant to be. :)
He has 6 broken ribs and a punctured lung and some abrasions. They put a plate in to attach the two bones.
He was really lucky. The best part of the situation was he was ambulanced to Delta Colorado. The nurse in the ER was concerned for him and said she new a Bishop in town that could come give him a blessing. Well when this Bishop got there he found out it was his brother in law. Yes I said brother in law. My aunt and uncle had just moved there in January and maybe just for this reason. Not only but definately to be there to help Ric. We spent a week waiting for him to recover so he could be transported home. Other than bumps he made it with no additional problems.

Past Old

WOW!! Things have changed. Not to mention who is controlling the blog now. I am going to try and keep everyone more updated.

Steph has been busy with the baby coming. We are both really excited for this new chapter. Tieran Avedon Morley will be an incredible life change for us. We are about Six weeks away. Of course what do I know about due dates. August 31 so whatever that translates to woman language for being born, that is it. This is the latest 3D image that was taken. The Dr. was worried cause Steph didn't measure right for as far along she was. So, they sent us to do more pictures. Steph is carrying the baby in the back and the placenta is in the front. She doesn't show like she is ready to pop but we are close.

I am one of the casualties of the economy. I got layed off on New Years day. I have been looking and so far have only recieved turn downs. With that being said, if anyone has any leads I would be glad to try and take a job somewhere. Enough of that.........................

Because I have such a cool wife and she lets me do cool things she let me take a trip. So for her benefit I took a picture of me fishing. Yes that is a cowboy hat. She calls it my Mexican hat. (No offense intented) She just likes to make fun of me. I have always said I would never EVER wear a cowboy hat but figure I am to old to care anymore. I mean I own horses and have owned all kinds of farm animals. I love to fish and it was raining that day so now you see it. Stephen and my nephew Raab came with us. He got to see his first fish and touch it. It was so funny cause when it moved he flinched and laughed. He is the cutest little kid.

Need I say more. He is growing fast and finally trying to get his words out. We had them at our house for two weeks after his new little brother Teejin was born. He is so good with his little bro. Teejin would start crying and if Raab was in the other room and could hear it he would say "huh" and then would run to wherever his little brother was and give him a kiss and kneel next to him. Freaking cool!!
